I was invited to a Blog Party(http://www.etsycottagestyle.blogspot.com/) thru Etsy and I was going thru some of the people who signed up and am LOVING their places. I Adore Etsy and am always saving places I love. Speaking of things that I love, besides the Famdamily, are Shabby chic stuff, Primitive stuff, Patriotic stuff(I'll have to take a pic of the outside of my house sometime to show you the ideas I'm working on), multi media stuff, primitive stitcherystuff, collage stuff, antique stuff(especially linens), and the list goes on. I get inspiration from so many different things and places but can't make the ideas fast enough or even draw them up fast enough. I do draw a lot of primitive stitchery patterns but am having a hard time figuring out how to put them into pattern form and especially how to sell them. I have listed them as e-patterns but haven't sold one. I hope you will check out my site but especially all of the talented people I keep saving, especially on Etsy. Thanx.
I took a class from Sherri Habb Saturday and I LOVED IT!!! I have always wanted to learn how to do silver clay jewelry and I finally did plus I learned how to do enameling also. She is such a fantastic teacher, always making us feel good about ourselves and any questions we had. Now when I look at her books it all makes sense to me. I'm more of a visual learner and have a hard time reading something and then understanding what I just read. http://www.sherrihaab.com/index.php, http://sherrihaab.wordpress.com/. I'm the one in the blue not paying attention to what I'm working on, in her blog. There is still SO much more to learn but she has opened up a whole new world to me. Check out ALL the things she has to offer, you'll learn so much from her. Thanx Sherri and I had a great time getting to know Rena, Jane and Senta. Afterwards I hurried down to my in-laws for a family birthday party and got to see Our little granddaughter walking on her own. She sure wants to run now. We then came home and our little family all played Bocci Ball, on the church lawn across the street from us. It was nice to do something together. We don't get to see Matt and Kenzie much 'cause they're farther away. Now that Adam has class every Mon. thru Thur. we don't get to see them as much either. I'm really sad, our neighbors to the south of us are moving to Monterey Calif. next week, he's in the military and will be learning a new language for a year. That's all the excitement going on here. Oh yeay, look what I just made with the picture of our grandaughter. I LOVE it!!!
This is the first time I've ever done a blog and so forgive my mistakes. Thanks to my lovely and talented daughter Kerstin, (pronounced like Care- stin) for helping me with this and all other things I can't figure out. I've been looking at other blogs and I will most deffinatly post about them too. There are so many great places to visit that I tend to spend way too much time on this computer. it would help if I could type with more than three fingers. i guess i should just dictate to my daughter who's fingers fly so fast across the key's. I visited, for the first time, today a blog called Vintage Bella Studio (http://vintagebellastudio.blogspot.com/) and wow am I inspired. She shows the softest colors and vintage items that make me want to create. I don't know what I will create but after I find items with the same pastels I'll go crazy. My craft room always looks like a tornado blew through and then I realize I have to clean it up. I paid my daughter to straighten things up once already and it really helps, but what I wouldn't give to have someone very organized to come in and clean and organize for fun for me, like Monica on Friends. Now about the picture of this adorable little girl. This is Miss Addyson Presely Hansen, my darling little granddaughter. She is our first grandchild and we get such a kick out of her. She keeps us laughing all the time. She is 1 year old and learning to walk. Watch out mom and dad, you'll be running now!
Here are a couple of things I have made. The cupcake is made from window screen, stuffed with paper and painted. The other item is a ceramic plate I made but I also use it as a stitchery pattern. Here is a link to my etsy sitehttp://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5219813. I will be posting more things in my shop soon. Plus I will be adding more people to my fav's soon. Thanx for visiting.
